Amy Hanus, BS, ACSM-EP

FULL PLATE LIVING PROGRAM DIRECTOR

As the Full Plate Living Program Director at Ardmore Institute of Health (AIH), Amy loves sharing the power of fiber foods and how a plant-predominant diet can transform health. She helped develop Full Plate Living’s approach, which helps individuals eat full plates of healthy, delicious food without feeling famished, frustrated, or deprived. The best part of her job is celebrating when a Full Plate Living member reaches a health goal, like seeing a number on the scale they haven’t seen in decades or wowing their doctor with an improved A1C or lower cholesterol.

Amy earned her Bachelor of Science in Health Education: Exercise Science from Georgia College and State University and attained the American College of Sports Medicine Exercise Physiologist certification. She previously served as Director of Fitness and Therapy for AIH’s former residential program until its closing in 2008. She is a member of the Editorial Board for the American Journal of Lifestyle Medicine as the Culinary Medicine columnist. Amy's current position allows her to fulfill her passion for helping others make healthy lifestyle changes in a simple and fun way. In her spare time, she and her husband enjoy traveling to see their children and grandchildren, cooking delicious fiber-focused meals, and experiencing the country in their Airstream.
