Heather Palmer serves as President of Ardmore Institute of Health. A nonprofit executive with more than 30 years of experience in healthcare philanthropy and mission-driven leadership, Palmer has dedicated her career to building partnerships and advancing initiatives that improve health and well-being.

She began her work in family medicine as Director of Development for the North Carolina Academy of Family Physicians Foundation and most recently served as Executive Director of the American Academy of Family Physicians Foundation and Vice President of Development for the American Academy of Family Physicians. Her career has included leadership roles in local, national, and international organizations focused on prevention, healthcare access, whole-person health, capacity building, and healthier communities, including the American Podiatric Medical Association, Inova Health System Foundation, Providence Health Foundation, and the Centre for Development and Population Activities.

Palmer holds a Master of Arts in Nonprofit Management from American University and a Master of Business Administration from Marymount University. She is recognized for bringing together diverse partners to advance shared goals and create meaningful, lasting impact.
