Dr. Stephen Dahmer is director of the Andrew Weil Center for Integrative Medicine and Assistant Dean for Wellness at the University of Arizona College of Medicine – Tucson, where he also leads the Division of Integrative Medicine and serves as associate professor. A father, family physician, chief medical officer, patient advocate, and author, Dr. Dahmer spearheads Banner Health’s first integrative health clinic in Tucson, embedding Whole Person Care within a major health-system framework.

His leadership resume spans founding primary care physician of Sana Care, lead physician at Iora Health, chief medical officer at Resurgent Biosciences and Goodness Growth Holdings/Vireo Health, and chair of the U.S. Cannabis Council’s medicine and research subcommittee. He co-authored the Palau Primary Health Care Manual and champions the credo that “food is medicine,” a philosophy underpinning his community-oriented efforts to prevent and reverse chronic disease.
