With grant support from Ardmore Institute of Health, the American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP) rolled out a series of Community Engaged Lifestyle Medicine resources, designed to assist physicians in integrating Lifestyle Medicine into their practice. The resources address various Lifestyle Medicine topics including:
Inexpensive ways for people to improve their diet and enjoy the benefits of healthy eating
Efforts to reduce suicide and self-harm in young people
Effective forms of diabetes care
The resources, developed by family physicians and staff from the Connecticut, Idaho, and Illinois AAFP chapters, include a nutrition guide, physician and patient packets, a health assessment, and educational sessions.
